Asher Sisk - Varsity Golf
Johns Creek High School is proud to recognize Asher Sisk as the August Male Athlete of the Month for his outstanding performance and impact on the Gladiators boys golf program.
Asher made an immediate impact as a freshman, stepping into the No. 1 position on the Johns Creek boys golf team and helping lead the Gladiators to a Top 3 finish at the GHSA State Tournament. Competing against the state's best golfers, Asher showcased his talent and composure under pressure by shooting a remarkable final-round 67, finishing in a tie for 5th place individually at the state championship.
His outstanding freshman season earned him a place on the All-State Golf Team, solidifying his status as one of Georgia's top young golfers and establishing a foundation for continued success in the years ahead.
Head Golf Coach Billy Nicholson praised Asher's accomplishments and competitive spirit:
“Asher is a fierce competitor. He established himself as one of the top golfers in the State of Georgia as a freshman. Asher excelled at the highest level in the Area, and we're looking forward to great things from him over the next few seasons.”
Asher's impact extends beyond the golf course, where he has also earned recognition for his character and presence in the classroom. Coach Bowles shared:
“Asher is a very charismatic student who brings a positive attitude to class each day. He is always willing to participate and works well with others when solving problems. His energy and willingness to be involved make him a great presence in the classroom. Asher consistently approaches each day with a good attitude, and I am happy to see him recognized as Male Athlete of the Month!”
Whether competing at the highest level of high school golf or contributing in the classroom, Asher consistently demonstrates the leadership, work ethic, and positive attitude that exemplify what it means to be a Johns Creek Gladiator. His ability to balance excellence in athletics and academics makes him a deserving recipient of this honor.
