Welcome Coach Nik DelFavero

Welcome Coach Nik DelFavero

Nik DelFavero brings a lifelong background in competitive swimming, coaching, and sports performance to the Johns Creek High School swim program.
Nik competed for four years at the NCAA Division I level at Rice University and Seton Hall University and also competed internationally with the Austrian National Team. His coaching experience includes age-group, youth, and masters swimming, with an emphasis on purposeful training, stroke mechanics, measurable progression, and helping each swimmer develop according to his or her individual goals and ability.
Professionally, Nik is a sports chiropractor and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. His background in bio-mechanics, physiology, athletic development, recovery, and injury prevention complements his approach to coaching and athlete development.
Nik’s goal at Johns Creek is to build a positive, competitive team culture where experienced year-round swimmers are challenged and excited to represent their high school, while newer swimmers receive the coaching and support they need to improve and become confident athletes. He believes high school swimming should combine serious development and high expectations with a strong sense of team, school pride, and fun.
Nik and his family are part of the Johns Creek community, and his daughters are also members of the JCHS swim program.
