The Johns Creek Lady Gladiators made program history on Tuesday night, defeating the Lanier Longhorns 6-4 on the road to earn their 16th victory of the season, the most wins in a single season in school history.
In a game that showcased the depth and determination of the Gladiators, Johns Creek relied on contributions from all areas of the field to secure the milestone victory. The Longhorns proved to be a tough challenge, collecting nine hits and keeping the pressure on throughout the contest, but the Gladiators answered every challenge with timely plays and clutch performances.
Uma Pittman continued her outstanding season in the circle, striking out seven batters while battling through a persistent Lanier lineup. Despite the Longhorns' offensive pressure, Pittman delivered when it mattered most to help preserve the Gladiator lead.
The Johns Creek defense also stepped up in key moments. Ella Grindle, Audrey Lafon, and Zelda Arthur each made dazzling defensive plays that helped prevent runs and keep momentum on the Gladiators' side. Behind the plate, Claire Dennis once again provided steady leadership and dependable defense. Dennis has been a reliable backstop all season and delivered another solid performance in guiding the pitching staff.
Offensively, the Gladiators were led by Isla Wells, who provided the biggest swing of the night with a two-run home run. Wells finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs, helping power the Johns Creek attack.
Johns Creek's offense received production throughout the lineup, as Zelda Arthur, Claire Dennis, and Uma Pittman each recorded multi-hit games. Additional hits came from Reese Stiltner, Addie Grindle, and Allie Lafon as the Gladiators put together another balanced offensive effort.

The Lady Gladiators will be back in action Thursday when they travel to Roswell for a key region matchup against the Roswell Hornets at 6:30 p.m. Johns Creek will look to build on its record-setting season, improve to 17-3, and maintain its hold on first place in the region standings.
