Johns Creek fell to Gainesville on Friday night in a region matchup, as the Red Elephants’ defense proved difficult to overcome and limited the Gladiators’ offensive production.
Despite the challenging night, several Gladiators turned in notable individual performances. Michael Hanley led the way on the ground, rushing for 30 yards on 12 carries. Through the air, Ben Feigin hauled in one reception for 33 yards, while Ben Cleary added a 21-yard catch. Johns Creek’s lone points came on a 48-yard field goal by Max Adler.
Defensively, Korey Washington led the Gladiators with six tackles and three pass breakups. Akachi Nwizubo recorded four pass breakups to go along with one tackle, while Hanley contributed five tackles. John Michael Sengbusch added four tackles and a sack.
The Gladiators will look to regroup and respond as they return to the road for another important region contest. Johns Creek travels to face the Roswell Hornets on Friday, October 16, with a kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
