Boys Lacrosse Giving Back with The Sandwich Project

The Gladiators Boys Lacrosse coaches and players teamed up with The Sandwich Project - http://thesandwichproject.org to make 500+ sandwiches for individuals in the Metro Atlanta area with food insecurity.
Before the event, we shared some information about the non-profit and stats about food insecurity. The boys really enjoyed making the sandwiches and had a great team bonding event. All of the supplies and food were donated by Publix Charities through their community giving program and the families of the lacrosse team.
Parents involved in the planning and that assisting the players today during the event were Danielle Cheung (JCHS Boys Lacrosse Board President) and four of the players moms (Rebecca Hampson, Amy Masaschi, Vicki Renner, Molly Risner).
Players & Coaches Speak on Giving Back -
Zachary Cheung & Chase McKee before the event, both Seniors attending Georgia College & State University in the fall and rooming together.
Zach - "Going to school today I was definitely excited in class knowing that I could help make sandwiches for people in need. Looking forward to this sandwich making project."
Chase - I think nothing is better than helping out people in need with the boys, making sandwiches, and helping out the community around us."
David Scruggs, Senior attending Auburn in the fall - "I just feel so fulfilled to help all these people out. They are struggling and we are grateful for what we have. We are so blessed to provide for others that can't provide for themselves."
Tyler Hampson, Senior attending Wake Forest in the fall - "It nice to come together as a team to do something to help our community."
Hudson Tetterton, Sophomore - "I enjoyed the productivity of making all the sandwiches, helping people out and working with my teammates in such a good way."
Coaches after the event:
Brad Lindamood, Johns Creek High School teacher and official team coach - "Just humbled to give back to the community that does so much for us and help out those that need more help than us."
CJ Mucker, Head Community Coach and former JCHS student and lacrosse player - "I thought it was great to do a team bonding where we could make some sandwiches, give back to our community and have some fun."
Will Byrd, Assistant Community Coach - "We always try to teach the boys how to be good students and players on and off the field. Having opportunities like this to show them how to contribute to their community is something that we really value."
