The Gladiators totaled 50 kills and hit .228 as a team, while also recording 16 service aces and 67 digs in the five-set win.
Senior outside hitter S. Buoni led the offensive charge with a match-high 15 kills on a blistering .400 hitting percentage, adding two aces and three digs. Buoni consistently found openings in the St. Pius defense and delivered key points throughout the match.
Fellow senior E. Jarboe chipped in nine kills, while senior H. Catic and senior C. Giles each added eight kills. Junior L. Mujahid contributed five kills and provided a steady presence at the net. Senior setter J. Kim directed the offense efficiently, dishing out 44 assists while also adding five kills on an impressive .714 hitting percentage.
Johns Creek's serving pressure proved to be a major difference-maker. The Gladiators piled up 16 aces and served at a 92.2 percent efficiency rate. Kim led the way from the service line with seven aces, while Catic added five aces and scored nine service points. Senior libero E. Sinotte contributed 11 service points and an ace of her own.
Defensively, Johns Creek repeatedly extended rallies and kept St. Pius out of system. Catic posted a team-high 19 digs, while Sinotte collected 15 digs and Giles added 13 digs. The Gladiators finished with 67 digs, averaging 13.4 digs per set.
In serve receive, Johns Creek handled a heavy St. Pius serving attack with 71 receptions. Catic led the back row with 23 receptions, followed closely by Sinotte with 20 and Giles with 17, helping keep the offense in rhythm throughout the night.
With the victory, the Gladiators showcased the balanced attack and defensive toughness that have become trademarks of the program.
