The Johns Creek Lady Gladiators saw their 12-game winning streak come to an end Monday night, falling 5-3 to the Milton Eagles on the road.
Despite collecting nine hits, the Gladiators were unable to come up with the timely hit when they needed it most. Johns Creek consistently put runners on base throughout the contest but could not capitalize on several scoring opportunities against a tough Milton squad.
Leading the offensive effort was Reese Stiltner, who turned in a perfect night at the plate, going 4-for-4. Additional hits came from Zelda Arthur, Allie Lafon, Uma Pittman, Avery Huffman, and Isla Wells as the Gladiators continued to generate offense throughout the game.
Uma Pittman battled in the circle and kept Johns Creek in contention, but the Milton offense proved too much to overcome as the Eagles secured the 5-3 victory.
The loss snaps Johns Creek's impressive 12-game winning streak, but the Lady Gladiators will look to regroup and return to their winning ways as they continue region play and prepare for the stretch run of the season. The Gladiators look to get back to their winning ways on Thursday night in a region contest vs. Riverwood.
