Gladiators Fall to Holy Innocents

The Johns Creek Gladiators dropped a 10–1 decision to the Holy Innocents Golden Bears on Tuesday, March 31, at The Nic on the campus of Johns Creek High School.
Holy Innocents took control early and continued to add runs throughout the game, using timely hitting and consistent pitching to pull away from the Gladiators. Johns Creek struggled to generate sustained offense.
In relief, Jackson Deahl provided a bright spot for the Gladiators on the mound. Deahl pitched four innings and did not allow an earned run, helping steady the game and limit further damage after the early innings.
Offensively, Johns Creek was led by Walker Smith, Sean Kennedy, Jesse Johns, and Austin Brumfield, each of whom recorded a hit. Smith was aggressive on the basepaths, stealing two bases and creating scoring opportunities for the Gladiators.
Despite the loss, Johns Creek will quickly turn its focus to the next challenge. The Gladiators are scheduled to host the Lovett Varsity Lions on Thursday, April 2, as they look to regroup and get back in the win column.
