Johns Creek football came out with energy on Senior Night, taking an early 3-0 lead over Alpharetta behind a Max Adler field goal. However, a costly turnover led to a Raider touchdown just before halftime, shifting the momentum as Alpharetta went on to secure a 27-3 victory.
The Gladiators battled throughout the night but struggled to capitalize on scoring opportunities in the second half. Missed opportunities and difficulty sustaining offensive drives kept Johns Creek from closing the gap as Alpharetta pulled away.
Offensively, Michael Hanley led the Gladiators with six carries for 72 yards, providing a spark in the running game. Quarterback Jake Blackwelder added 43 rushing yards on 15 carries as Johns Creek continued to look for ways to move the football against a tough Raider defense.
Defensively, the Gladiators turned in several outstanding individual performances. Hanley led the way with 11 tackles, one sack, and a pass breakup. Carson Cox recorded a team-high 14 tackles and two tackles for loss. Walker Edmondson finished with nine tackles, two sacks, and a tackle for loss, while Elijah Antoine contributed 10 tackles, three tackles for loss, and a sack.
Despite the disappointing result, the Gladiators will look to finish the season on a positive note as they head into their final game of the year.
Johns Creek travels to Riverwood this Friday for its season finale. The Gladiators will look to put together a complete performance and finish the 2026 campaign competing for four quarters.
